Ethiopia Facing World's 'Most Urgent' Food Crisis - Yahoo! News ADDIS ABABA, Sep 3 (OneWorld) - The most pressing food crisis in the world at present is in Ethiopia, according to John Holmes, the United Nations' under-secretary general for humanitarian affairs. Al Jazeera English - Africa - Somalia fighters 'making comeback'

Al Jazeera English - Africa - Somalia fighters 'making comeback' : "Opposition fighters in Somalia appear to have made a major comeback after being ousted by Somali government troops backed up by Ethiopian forces last year. But a Somali government adviser says the opposition is exaggerating the extent of its alleged comeback. 'I think they are less powerful than they were before. But of course they always re-group in areas that are very simple for them to take over,' Yusuf Al Azhari told Al Jazeera. Some Kismayo residents say they are optimistic the lawlessness there will end, just a week after opposition fighters seized the area from clan militias, but others are wary."

I wish we lived in such a rosy world. I know, and I suspect Obama knows, that we do not. "Obama offers a false hope," said Dr. John Geyman, the former chair of family medicine at the University of Washington and author of "Do Not Resuscitate: Why the Health Insurance Industry Is Dying, and How We Must Replace It." "We cannot build on or tweak the present system. Different states have tried this. The problem is the private insurance industry itself. It is not as efficient ...
