Bush's Last Stand The War Party is down, but not out

Justin Raimondo The administration, having abandoned the "moderate" secular Sunnis, represented by Iyad Allawi (remember him?), is now taking up the Shi'ite cause with a vengeance. This new turn is carefully clothed in the white raiment of non-sectarianism, but if I were a Sunni living in Iraq – and particularly in Baghdad – I would run for the exits while there's still time. As Bush puts it: "Only the Iraqis can end the sectarian violence and secure their people. And their government has put forward an aggressive plan to do it. Our past efforts to secure Baghdad failed for two principal reasons: There were not enough Iraqi and American troops to secure neighborhoods that had been cleared of terrorists and insurgents, and there were too many restrictions on the troops we did have." After all, why shouldn't we go storming into private homes, shoot first, and ask questions later, just like we did in Haditha? All those bothersome restrictions – e.g. moralit...

That is America Justice

"A US soldier has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for murdering three blindfolded Iraqi detainees during a raid near Tikrit last year. William Hunsaker, 24, was handed a dishonourable discharge from the military after pleading guilty to murder and attempted murder." he will probbly pardoned and let out of jail in couple of years while being treated like a hero by prison guards and politicians for killing those Airabs (Arabs). That is American justice.

The War against Islam and Muslims.

reuters reported the deaths of 70 somali people who get caught in a war against Islam and Muslims. "The British-based aid agency Oxfam said on Friday air raids to pursue the Islamists as they fled south in recent days had mistakenly targeted nomadic herdsmen, killing 70 of them."
The surging myth: We’re talking 5,000 front line troops not 20,000-and even then. "The idea that shipping twenty thousand more American troops to Iraq can make any real difference to what is already a full scale civil war is risible. Congress and others debating the issue should consider some painful military statistics: first of all, according to the Pentagon’s own figures, every front line soldier requires at least three other military types to back him up: engineers, electricians, medics, bookkeepers, etc. Which means that 20,000 more troops to Iraq works out to only about 5,000 additional American trainers or soldiers actually pulling the triggers." http://barrylando.com/?p=104

The forgotten killers: Mercenaries in Iraq

More than a year ago I have watched a video showing mercenaries shooting at drivers in Iraq. Few of those drivers that were shot at might have been killed or injured on those unprovoked shootings. The fact the greatest terrorist nation in the world hired killers to do whatever they want as long as they provide security to the occupation leaders and Halliburton shows unprecedented arrogant. "What is striking about the current debate in Washington - whether to "surge" troops to Iraq and increase the size of the U.S. Army - is that roughly 100,000 bodies are missing from the equation: The number of American forces in Iraq is not 140,000, but more like 240,000."
