Al Jazeera English - Europe - Many dead in fresh Caucasus clashes: "At least four policemen and two gunmen have been killed in a gun battle in Chechnya, in the latest sign that violence in Russia's Caucasus region is escalating.

Chechnya's interior ministry said security forces battled with two gunmen in Kerla-Yurt, northwest of Grozny, the capital, on Friday, killing at least four officers and injuring four others."
