War in Libya: The Killing Fields of Misurata

War in Libya: The Killing Fields of Misurata: "Don't believe us? Well, have you seen any photos of civilians shot by 'Gaddafi's Army'? Of the so-called massacres? Have you? No, because they don't exist. If they did, you would see them day in and night out on CNN, BBC, Jazeera and Al-Arabiya.

But you have surely seen the massacres with all the live footage recorded and photographs in Bahrain right? No? Oh yes, you haven't, because the BBC etc refuses to show them. But thanks to Mathaba you can see those, in horrifying detail. But no call for the dictatorship of Bahrain supported by the Saudi dictatorship, to restrain themselves, let alone to face trial or be deposed, nor for democracy, nor is there any NATO bombing to 'protect' civilians there."

Broken Spring?       : Information Clearing House

Broken Spring?       : Information Clearing House This is a sequel to my June 2011 article, ‘After the spring’, on the upheavals in the Arab world. It is an article that has been painful to write, because it brings bad tidings and offers a pessimistic analysis of the upheavals, at least in the short term, in a number of Arab countries. The outcomes and potential outcomes of these uprisings have also acquired new, very significant dimensions. These include a complex entanglement with the accelerated preparations for a possible attack on Iran, and a poisonous, sectarian aspect that could have the consequence of ripping Syria and the Middle East apart.
